Bike Maps App Reviews

I thought Id take a chance on buying this, not knowing if it would have thorough maps of off-road trails. It does, for the Minneapolis area, anyway! Worth the purchase.

I am very pleased at the multiple routes it found near my home. The time it saved me was well worth the price.

Works great, very accurate. Only thing that would be nice would for app to be able to upload trip reports through email rather than just through itunes when connected to PC. Keep up the good work.

Ive used this app only once so far (only because I usually know where Im going). And loved that it mapped a route for me using all designated bike paths. Seemed to pick the most efficient - and safe - route. With the exception of some local knowledge assisting in cutting a little distance/time on a couple of turns. Also very helpful that all directions were spoken, as well as showing in sequence on my lock screen for easy reference while riding.

For 1.99 it should offer more! The site says it shows bike trails all over the world. It does, but it is slow and the font is very small to see. You have to move the map around to see trails. You would think it would have a search engine showing trails in locations etc. I felt a bit deceived after spending my money. Just look them up on the internet instead. Will somebody make a good road bike tail App?

I use the app as a good way to plan rides. The bike lanes and routes seem to be very accurate as far as Ive seen.

For the price I thought I would be able to do more. It reminds me of a slower version of google maps...

I travel quite a bit into areas that I am not familiar with the roads. Having this app lets me find roads that are safer to head out for a spin from my hotel.

Just bought the app and its been five minutes just trying to figure out how to make it work, and a trying get it set up so I can get to work....

The worst interface I have ever seen on any app. Its insulting that someone would ask money for this.

Isnt intuitive, complicated and doesnt take use of actual bike routes.

Hard to read. Not worth the money

Bike Maps is effective, intuitive, and just what I was looking for. I especially like the water source feature - last time I biked across the Golden Gate Bridge to tour the Marin Headlands, I didnt realize there was a water fountain on the other side of the highway. Wish I had installed Bike Maps then! Nice interface with very clean looking maps, easy to track my rides. This app complements Strava nicely as well, with a neat feature where you can export your tracked rides. For the dedicated or even for a casual biker, I would recommend this app.

I was hoping for an app that showed bike paths in my area. My city is known for it. That way if Im ever lost I could find my way home. I turned it on and gave it my destination for a trial. No directions were given. When I got home I opened it up and the automated voice (in a slurred voice)(almost drunk) finally tells me Ive reached my destination. I was already aware though.

Doesn’t actually give you a detailed bike route. Completely worthless. I already took it off my menu of apps. Use Google Maps and hit the bicycle icon. A thousand times better.

Was very disappointed in this app. Save your money. Really not what I thought it was going to be. I was very disappointed in the app.

This app tracks very well. Really enjoy seeing my rides. #bikemore

Dont know whether an iOS update killed its functionality or what but now, it either doesnt track my ride at all, or it pretends to but at rides end the numbers are all from Mars. :(
