I recently started using this app and really love it. Ive used it for biking on both roads and woods trails and it very effectively tracked my rides. I also use it when hiking and have found that it works well even on remote Nova Scotia beaches. The new map style is very clean and easy to read and I like the addition of the share feature. Really, I couldnt be happier with this app.

Sweet app

Helps me boot around toronto and tracks really well.

Essential bike maps app

This map has all the basic tools for everyday riding and tracking. It is easy and intuitive to use. Love it! It will earn it fifth star once it shows you your riding profile.

Bike Maps

Its routing me over a closed road (Sellwood Bridge, Portland, OR) and it wont let me change the route because of the closure. It also has me riding on one of the most dangerous streets in Portland with no bike lane (Ceser Chavez). Just bought this app this morning and not impressed. Hope I can get my money back.

Ok, but could be a lot better

GPS routing would make this app significantly better, and information generated by using the app could probably improve coverage, route and information content.

Good App

I like this app. The maps are very detailed and help me plan the route I want to take on each ride and helps me track my progress. I am pretty new to cycling and this app is not complicated to use and has helped me a lot.

Whatever app.

I am using it to keep a log on distance, time, and average speed everything I bike somewhere. Other than that the app is useless for me. No real bike navigation. Imagine, the app does not even calculate the bike paths in Chicago! Even Google Maps is WAY much better on navigation when biking to a known address.

Good bike paths

I love this app. Its simple and fairly easy to figure out. I like its language accessibility, too. When running this app, it stays in a blue bar in the top of the screen. I love this feature because it keeps me focused on my ride as well as displaying the route steps. This app is also helpful because it keeps on real bike paths and helpses you stay out of higher traffic areas. There are times when I wonder how I am going to follow these paths, then when I arrive, Ive found myself using a short cut or bike/walking specific path that cats cannot access. I love it

Excellent - like google maps for bikes

Also has alternate path preferred route. I used to go from DTLA to Malibu. Saves your routes and allows for custom routes. Better than that subscription sh*t from under armor.

Useful app

I have had a chance to use this app twice now in rural Nova Scotia, and it works well. I havent had a chance to test it in the City. I like the interface that draws the route, and the calculation of the time and average speed. It doesnt include some other info. that my more general GPS app has, but its more convenient to use. The bike paths I used and major terrain features were accurately depicted. When I first used it I thought it wouldnt download any map, but it did after a while - the author should include that in the instructions. I would like some kind of a reminder to turn it off after I put my bike back on the car and drove 20km. - that came up as part of the bike route! (My fault though). Overall a useful app., and I have recommended it to others in my cycling group.

Slow

Application was slow for 1.99, showed limited bike paths, and wasnt what was advertised. I would like my money back if I could.

Wont accurately pin my GPS location

This app apparently thinks Im in Australia. I live in Vancouver, BC Canada. It wont let me reset my GPS location, and now I cant route anything locally in my city - it keeps directing me to routes in freaking Brisbane! Please either update this app or refund me.

Works well for Vancouver, BC

Vancouver has a lot of bike paths, trails and options. The app does a good job of tracking me. :-)

Helpful for off-road route finding

I really like aesthetics of the map in the recent update, and the improvement to the audio GPS navigation in this version. Ive found the app super helpful for navigation by foot and bike in my city; we have lots of trails but they are not well mapped for the public. This has been a big help in efficiently navigating our off-road areas.

Im finding this really useful compared to GPS unit (dated). Im getting very precise tracks & the map quality underneath is terrific. In a local rural area it shows all farm roads, which are in fact open to use, but are not public-owned. I was surprised at this fine scale detail.

Very useful

Does what it says and easier to read than google maps

So far so good

Downloaded about a week ago. Every bike route I looked for is in the app so far. I have yet to try the "go ride" feature for tracking because I dont have my iPhone with me. (a bit hard to bike with the iPad, suppose I could stick it in a back-pack) I think its reAlly hard to beat for $2. If this had sat. view and points of interest I would rate 5⭐

Easy and Useful

A great tool for recording the route I pedaled, as well as the average speed and distance. I use it all if the time. Saves each trip on a separate map.

Wow!! Great cyclist app!

Ive used this everyday. I am currently riding to Canada and around Lake Michigan then back home. Its a great combo of topographical, street map plus bike routes too. Shows all different kinds of bike routes federal, state, local, rail trails. Has other nice features that track your speed, elevation, time if you like that. The best feature by far is this this app has the option to use low energy. I can use GPS almost all day!! For bike touring that is a big plus. No huge plus. My hats off to the makers of this app. Good job guys. Mad Dog Mike

Needs some help

One route I requested took me down the busiest city streets with no bike lanes. Google Maps, on the other hand, found an amazing route which included a multi-use, no-car path. Pinch and zoom doesnt zoom in on street names (everything is really tiny and I have good eyes). The marked blue route obscures the street name, which, you know, is kinda necessary). I like that you can tap on two locations to get a route between the two, but not useful if the map isnt readable. I would also like to be able to drag the location markers to where they really need to be.
